Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73891874 [link to research.princeton.edu (secure)] (less than 50%) "A research team led by Princeton University(link is external) has developed a technique for tracking online foreign misinformation campaigns in real time, which could help mitigate outside interference in the 2020 American election. The researchers developed a method for using machine learning to identify malicious internet accounts, or trolls, based on their past behavior. Featured in Science Advances(link is external), the model investigated past misinformation campaigns from China, Russia, and Venezuela that were waged against the United States before and after the 2016 election. The team identified the patterns these campaigns followed by analyzing posts to Twitter and Reddit and the hyperlinks or URLs they included. After running a series of tests, they found their model was effective in identifying posts and accounts that were part of a foreign influence campaign, including those by accounts that had never been used before. They hope that software engineers will be able to build on their work to create a real-time monitoring system for exposing foreign influence in American politics." The Election is over already. I ran Firefox for a long time, then the DEVS let it go for a few years, constant crashes ect. Then all the sudden Chrome was not to be trusted so i switched back to Firefox. Any time i change things on the net, i always run a packet sniffer to see what data is going where and sure enough, Firefox had handling packets that were encrypted going to a database that didnt show being online. Quick search through their new policy showed all data was being mined. The fact is, we have let them takeover everything now, we have no privacy anymore in anything we do. The net itself has been completely taken over and until we have someone create a decentralized net, it will stay that way. Last Edited by Mist Walker on 11/25/2020 05:03 AM |

Ungoogled Chromium is a Chromium-based browser, which is a free and open-source software originally started by Google. However, it’s much more secure and has no links to the tech giant. In fact, Ungoogled Chromium has completely freed itself from Google’s trackers and host detectors (tools that identify your IP address). None of your browsing history is logged or shared with any third parties. Edit: It's faaassst... and clean! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76651313 United States 11/25/2020 01:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm surprised no one has mentioned Dissenter browser. It's a fork of brave that gets rid of more of the chromium telemetry that brave does not. Also, it allows and adds comment sections to websites for the users of the browser which is pretty fucking cool. Like all the bullshit MSM sites that have to remove comment sections to hide their bullshit exposed in the comments. I've been using brave for awhile, but just recently learned about dissenter, I'm still looking to find out if there's a reason not to try it and I haven't found any yet. |

Slimjet was very fast, but the UI seemed to be getting a bit too tooty frooty for my tastes and that's how I got to brave then dissenter. |
