I seem to recall hearing/seeing stories about complete shut-ins that live alone, who are almost never exposed to anyone else, getting COVID-19. I think those stories were why we saw the theory (and made-up info that they later reversed) from "scientists" that it could be living for a long time on surfaces.
Pretty sure there were threads on GLP about it.
In my mind, those stories (if true) reinforce my belief that this illness is being delivered through some vector other than person-to-person.

one spouse/partner etc has no symptoms and the other gets hit hard or has some symptoms.
Your fiance is the one who gave it to you. She was minimally exposed when she was briefly exposed to it. So she has no or very very symptoms.
You on the other hand were around that virus shedding lady for days, being assaulted non-stop by her shedding, so your exposure to the virus was a lot higher, meaning you are way more likely to have a worse course of the illness.

An environmental toxin is a stronger possibility. Not everyone reacts the same way to the same thing. Some people think turmeric heals all ills for them while for me, I get a rash.

The less likely scenario is that this actually is some weird bioweapon aimed at people with certain DNA markers or I don't know what. Some people do just have stronger immune systems than others becuase of genes, or early childhood exposure, or pure shit luck.
