Hmm...very interesting.

Minor detail:

I, for one, don't understand the "loss of smell and taste"
crap. Who the heck has ever had the ordinary seasonal flu
without that happening?

It has now happened to me as of 2 1/2 days ago. I am a nurse and a long term suffer of sinus infections - I have never experienced this. You literally can smell nothing, I tried so many things. Pepper, garlic, essential oil, coffee, candle. It is just gone.

I just don’t understand it. I started with what I thought was a regular sinus infection then the loss of smell, nausea and now headache. It has been 7 days since I first got sick. I could always kick a sinus infection with my sinus wash but it is evolving differently. Now my head feels heavy but next to no drainage.

My desire to eat is way decreased as well, I am guessing no sense of smell or taste is making that happen.

Zinc deficiency can cause a loss of sense of smell.

Maybe when you get sick, you use up all your zinc fighting the illness.
