That's actually a sign of a zinc deficiency. I used to get that all the time until my doctor told me why. Sure enough, I started taking 10mg of zinc. When I got the flu, i still had taste and smell. This was several years ago. I find it interesting that people are bringing up that symptom and no doctors are speaking up about its origins.
