ive literally never seen a black farmer, and i live in a farming town.

they won't even work on the farms around here. can't blame them, cause i did it for 2 weeks and i wouldn't do it again either.

Yeah... This is right about where i started paying attention to the shit that happened in South Africa...

Right now they are buying land... Give it another year and there will be a vote in the house to approve redistribution by seizing it...

Black farmers? Never ever have I seen even one.

Been a forester for 40 years... only ever saw one black forester.

Ag jobs and woods jobs are really hard work, even with mechanization.

I have seen tons of Latinos in Ag trades... they are great workers... very hard workers... but blacks?

They traditionally are hunter-gather cultures, and not agriculturists... like my Choctaw ancestors were for example. They farm was always held in a Matrilinical line of inheritance. The kids always got fed that way!

For the most part, it just isn't part of their DNA!

These racist blacks need to put a sock in it. They are a FAILED CULTURE and nothing will save them but themselves.

If it happens the same way it happened in south africa they'll turn the farms into weed fields so that they become nearly worthless, then the Chinese snatch them up on the cheap

Most all farms are now corporate owned. Very few independent old style family farms out there anymore AND next to NO black farmers. I think this is fake.

said this in a thread before, i'm not sure what farms you are talking about, but around here, i know of NO corporate owned farms. it's all family farms whether its cotton, corn, soy beans, rice, etc.

so i don't "very few" is a bit of a stretch.

First I wanna see Farmer Cory hard at work in the fields or forking manure. In fact, I'd PAY to see that.

My husband pointed out that there had been a HUGE agricultural depression between 1920 - 1934......

I have NEVER in my LIFE seen a black farmer. In fact, it's too much like working on the plantation....so I would gather that even if this passes, who is going to actually FARM the land.....

but the NUMBER ONE reason this is a BAD idea is....this is RACISM by the definition.

What happened to the "we're all equal" bullshit I had shoved down my throat all my childhood and adult life?

I mean, affirmative action wasn't enough? BLACK college funds, BLACK scholarships, the tearing down of "offensive to people of color" statues, MLK streets/blvd/ave in just about every town in America......and now this.
