So too much can cause diarhea and restricting it when changing your diet can cause constipation. Then milk as lactose is digested in the intestines into glucose and galactose. So if you overwhelm the capacity of the intestines to deal with lactose with insufficient lactase (the enzyme to break it down), then you get the squirts. In unusual circumstances any tumor can block smooth muscle motility in the intestines. You can have various intestinal wall collapsing to restrict movement like a volvulus. You can dialation of the intestinal wall. If calcium or magnesium is out of balance, you could have intestinal issues, but probaby would heart issues at the same time. |

A distracted doc will dismiss this. A smart old country doc will NEVER dismiss this when doing patient history. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76703461 Slovenia 12/07/2020 06:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | YES! It is the problem that my father has, who is about 70 years old. Since he was 55 years old, he started with urination problems - the most common being the minimal stream of urine that takes forever to empty the bladder. Then the difficulty of holding urine (leakage "accidents" occur) and more frequent urination - taking a long car trip, for example, is a problem. About six months ago he suddenly started having severe constipation problems (never before, super regular). At first they did not detect the prostate problem and recommended more fiber. The problem worsened two weeks later, with the total inability to urinate. A plastic catheter with the urine bag had to be urgently placed, which he still carries while waiting for the operation. Without the catheter he cannot urinate because the duct is blocked by pressure from the prostate. He had additional problems (almost died) from fluid retention, and was in intensive care with delirium from excess ammonia in the blood. His kidneys suffered damage from the inability to pass urine, a problem that he did not have, and which was caused by the mismanagement of the prostate therapy. After the corresponding studies, studies have determined that the prostate has a size 10X larger than normal - it is huge and it is not cancer, benign hyperplasia. It is because of that size that it partially blocks the rectum, causing constipation. The only possible operation is with total opening from the abdomen, the excessive size makes it impossible to do it by laparoscopy. He is waiting his turn for the operation, which is somewhat delayed due to COVID ... Hope my comment helped. Consult your doctor and fear not, it is something that can be solved. |

And I changed my diet. I hear you about back issues too. I have a herniated disc. I take something for inflammation (Motrin-Turmeric). I take 7 supplements and feel I'm almost balanced. I only eat oatmeal for breakfast and coffee. And then have one meal around 12 or 1pm. And I only drink tea or water all day. I usually eat turkey or chicken. Cut out the beef. I had all those issues and supplements and diet helped me. Hope something works for you... God Bless. Living has taught me one thing; nothing is certain...except salvation through Jesus Christ! |
