Update Page 5. I know 9 people who have Covid the last 2 weeks. Gonna break it down....what lies.
My step dad...mid 60’s. Has cancer, not in remission but not active right now. Numbers are stable. He is overweight, has a 100% clogged artery and an aneurism in his stomach.
Symptoms....
Dry cough, congested, body aches, low grade fever
Feels like a flu.

My mom....no health issues almost 70.
Low grade fever first couple of days, now gone. Had lots of night sweats. Congested, dry cough. Mom was terrified to get it, now cannot believe the hype.

They are both on day 10 and not worse, slightly better. Oxygen has been fine the entire illness. No chest pain.
Both liken in to bad cold or a seasonal flu.

Uncle.... has high bp.
Low grade fever for a couple days. Lost smell/taste. Feels like sinus infection, minimal dry cough. He is on day 8 and improving everyday. Almost completely back to normal.

His wife...day 6. Some muscle aches, had a low grade fever for a day, now she is feeling 90% normal. She was afraid because of media, now thinks it’s a hoax.

Nephew...sinus clogged, lost taste and smell. Nothing else

Friends...
One has cancer, in remission a couple months ago. All 3 family members tested positive. Took them 10 days to start feeling well. She compared it to a moderate flu for her, a bad cold for husband, and mild cold for son.

College student.... nothing but a scratchy throat.

These ages range between 17-70. Spanning 4 states.

Besides the uncle, all were mask wearers.
This is the flu guys. Sorry, not buying it now.

I am chuckling some cos I have those symptoms/things often with change of season. Now I wonder but I just treated it as a sinus infection or sore throat. I always sweat the bed so that is nothing new. Good grief. Thanks for sharing. :)

Of course it's just a flu/cold. The tests are made that way, to get as many positives as posible.

Co-workers of mine that tested positive were either asymptomatic or had mild flu like symptoms. The reaction by these state health officials and Governors is worse than the virus.

Yes, it is a crazy what is happening over a flu.

People in the small towns of Mexico won't go to the hospital if they feel sick right now because they are watching the hospitals "kill off" people. Makes sense in some ways, the Ventilators seemed to be doing more harm than good in the beginning. Sadly.

The wife and I are very sure (90%) we both had it....started feeling "flu" like and wound up being a dry cough and some fatigue....lasted about a week....took about two weeks for us to feel "normal"

Got sick Saturday. High fever Sunday. Diarrhea for two days. Recovering. Still a little 'stomachy' but I'm hydrated, afebrile, feeling well.

I tested positive on Saturday Afternoon after a 'panic sex' evaluation with my primary's NP. She was ready to write out the death certificate. I'm 48. History of paroxysmal a-fib. Overweight, not obese. BF is below 20%.

I am 95% today. Puls ox is 99%. Temp 97.6. Eating and going about on light duty.

Re: Update Page 5. I know 9 people who have Covid the last 2 weeks. Gonna break it down....what lies.
My experience:

I'm a healthy female in my late 30s.

I had it in February when the virus was "stronger". I believe it has mutated to be a little less severe now.

Started with a dry cough, then severe chills and fever, then got a bit better for a week, but then started vomiting and the dry cough became worse and didn't let up for 3 months. Ugh, it was horrible. But I'm prone to coughs/bronchitis as I have a sensitive respiratory system due to frequent childhood pneumonia.
I also kept track of my blood oxygen with a finger oximeter and it never went below 97.

But I never had to go to the hospital or anything. Just drank lots of tea and honey and Sambucol. Eventually the pesky cough went away as the weather warmed up.

For comparison, I had the swine flu in 2014 and that took the piss out of me like nothing else, thought I was going to die. Lost 10 pounds (I'm only 120lbs) and half of my hair fell out. I'd take the China virus over H1N1.

Got a family member who has battled stage 4 for years now. Miracle to even be alive. Also incredibly unhealthy, years of being an addict, eats sweets like that's all that exists, takes a much higher dose than needed on all the meds, lives on unhealthy food, and has about 100 lives. Found unresponsive a few weeks ago in home. Within 24 hours of arriving to hospital put on ventilator. Woke up 3-4 days later asking for food. Home and recovered now.

Forgot to add the most important part. He was diagnosed with covid while unresponsive in the hospital. Put on the ventilator immediately. Recovered and back to his unhealthy ways.

My daughter-in-law's father died of COVID yesterday. 62-years old. Had underlying health issues: overweight, diabetic, heart issues. Caught it from his wife's daughter (2nd marriage) who was asymptomatic.

He was on a ventilator for 8 days, they could not keep his O2 levels over 80% for the past two days. They took him off the ventilator yesterday around 3:00, he died less than an hour and a half later.

I was like you, thinking it's nothing. And for a lot of us, it is nothing. But it killed my son's father-in-law. He was a good man.

A friend and her husband both had it awhile back. Both still have lingering affects from it and said they are adjusting the best they can. I didn't want to ask specifics as she is a casual friend and don't want to pry. Just saw a 14 year old girl passed away from it in Michigan, no underlying conditions.

There are a bazillion mutations of the original virus on the loose and that is the cause of such randomness. Masks also help to get much less viral load, thus giving time to your immune system to kick in. In the end, it all depends on the strain of the virus and the contracted viral load. I know a person who got the virus in the early stages (during March I think) and he had problems with his lungs before that, thus he was from the people with comorbidity. They were ready to get him to ICU with ventilator but he luckily recovered without reaching that point, although his lungs got some minor damage. I just hope that this thing will die out at some point or at least the dangerous strains of it.

The last time SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) outbreak hit in Asia it was vast, when it hit the US it was renamed MARS (Mild Acute) because Americans just didn't get sick from it.

There is a difference in Asian blood types and US blood types by demographics. Could be what's happening now.
