I Grew Up in Communist China, Here’s My Warning to America

This year’s election had a historically high turnout.

Recently, many Americans haven’t cared so much about elections, thinking there ultimately wasn’t much difference between Republicans and Democrats, or between specific candidates.

However, with the approach of the 2020 election, many people became alarmed. They realized how far our country had strayed from its foundations. If we don’t take ownership now, they thought, it will be beyond repair.

The whole world is watching this election closely. Some Chinese have commented: “We thought China was going to become America. Instead, America is becoming China!”

It is so true. At this point, there are a lot of things we cannot say in America. Political correctness is not a matter of choice; it is a survival skill. If you say one word wrong, you can lose your job. If you don’t follow the mainstream narrative, you will get attacked by the mainstream media. It has reached such an extent that we should ask, do we still have freedom of speech?

This reminds me of China. Fifty years ago in communist China, if you made casual comments about the communists, you would end up in jail or a labor camp.

Someone who was at home and made one comment not in line with the CCP would be punished. A son would report on his father, a daughter on her mother, and a husband and wife on each other. Fear of the Communist Party, and indoctrination by it, had become a second human nature, pushing out natural feelings.

I immigrated to America more than 30 years ago. I always tell people, “America is the least discriminatory country in the whole world.” Yet we hear “discrimination” and “racism” daily in news reports. “Discrimination” and “racism” have become political weapons. They are no longer a matter of moral principle.

With so many protests and riots being organized in the name of fighting racism, the issue of race is now purposefully used to divide our society. In communist countries such as China and the former Soviet Union, the communists created division based on social class.

Communists always talk about class struggle. They claim that any inequality of wealth is because the wealthy exploit the working class. Communists use the working class to take down the middle and upper classes, until the country’s whole economy is destroyed.

Silly Chinese woman!

First Chinese Communists are FAKE COMMUNISTS!

Anyway, at least the stopped the Death of a Thousand Cuts (Ling Chi), and female foot-binding which was widely prevalent in pre-Communist China.

They also banned female infanticide, though they were not able to stop it, which is due to ancient Confucian values.

Re: I Grew Up in Communist China, Here’s My Warning to America
This whole thread stinks of poison thoughts and ideals. The most poison being ideals that the OP is wrong for thinking how they do.

China is not a friend of the U.S.A. They are a communist nation and as such, they are against all of the qualities that make the U.S.A. a great nation.

The goal of China, and Russia too, are to defeat the will of the greatest part of the U.S.A. independence and wrangle us into a globalist view of the world. Something some politicians desire with frothing and salivating lips at the money they recieve to encourage such a terrible thing. Know this, we have the best government money can buy. Sadly, there are fewer half-decent people investing in governments than in the post. These politicians are wolves who would devour anyone that doesn't feed their desires. Sadly, they are many. Most of them democrats. Although, republicans are not without guilt. G.W.Bush being a character of interest.

Politics isn't ever as simple as one might first assume. It is a global game. This is why the Bidens will get away with out-right bribery and are never challenged. If you have enough influence and power, you are immune to all laws. And if anyone, like Donald Trump, challenges you. It will be an uphill battle blocked by every obstacle and corrupt person within the system. It will be virtually impossible.

Still, I pray for our President. God bless Donald Trump for standing up for the people, and fighting against the swamp. Trump is not our enemy, he is one of our strongest heroes.

After reading this and having been harassed by communists, I've decided that this could be a growing problem for the world. Communists use the coronavirus to destroy the economy, given the fact they talk about class struggle. They claim that any inequality of wealth is due to the wealthy themselves exploit the working class. Communists use the working class to take down the middle and upper classes, until the country's whole economy is destroyed.

For examples, take a look at the leftists surrounded by the alt-right:

Google how brutal and savage, pre-Communist China was.

Wow, amazing how many commies we have running around here. I suspect you are, in fact, CCP disinfo agents. Nobody in their right mind thinks China is in any way a world leader in humanitarian rights.

Look at how many people disappeared into covid quarantine camps and we're never seen again. Just because they kill you faster now than they used to doesn't mean they aren't still killing you. Retards.

My mom, who grew up in Nazi Germany, told me that she was not allowed to turn the radio station to Radio Free Europe because the nazis would come and take all parties away.

I am also from a Communist country of Vietnam and I can attest to OP. You guys just don't know how good you have in the US. Be careful of what you wish for!

Since when did Vietnam go completely communist? Last time I looked, Hanoi was the capital of North-Vietnam and Saigon the capital of South-Vietnam.

Apparently you looked last time before 1975. Since then Saigon was re-named Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam is re-united.

The Op has just (possibly unwittingly) demonstrated a perfect execution of "The Hundred Flowers campaign"
The critics when welcomed, stepped forward, said what they wanted and were purged.

Essentially, every reply attacking her comment IS someone involved with Chinese propaganda.

1. Chinese students that have not returned for English studies abroad and are coerced to meet a post quota. Social credit points can be earned etc.

2. Young people connected to overseas Chinese communities, a great deal in Canada. The Embassies and Confucius institutes "remind" the community of relatives back in China "How's uncle Zhang doing with his bad back?" etc. Its specific!
These kids then are put to work by intimidated parents.

3. Wannabe Kung Fu master warriors with buns in their hair and a copy of the little red book, great for getting those free latte's when flashed around California. These are the saddest of the sad, they do make it to China and find Kung Fu is only in movies, so begin teaching ABC at the Happy Giraffe Kindergarten. 3 years max and they are gone, hating the place.

4. People in businesses that don't want their supply of plastic Happy meal Toys interrupted by scandals such as concentration camps and human organ harvesting.
Their "experience" of China will be at most 3 nights in a dank tier 99 city hotel, getting paralytic on rice wine while attempting to sing "Country Roads" in a karaoke room, a sloppy bj complimentary of the hosts, trying to figure out if they left their laptop 'on' when they left their hotel room and what 'new device detected' means.

NB. I have 2 decades in China, am not Chinese but can attest that the OP's post doesn't even scratch the surface with the evil in that country.

You dont seem to get. Its that Communist China is RELATIVELY BETTER than pre-Communist China, with all its primitive and savage cultural practises.

That silly Chinese woman, would have been wearing a Hanfu, and been wobbling around on little lotus feet, for the erotic stares of Chinamen, if she had been living in traditional China.

Communist China is less misogynist and patriarchal than pre-Communist China.

Shows how little you know about how Asians, and politics in general.

Asian Americans voted for Biden 63% to 31%,

Not to mention Andrew Yang campaigning for Biden, plus the Chinese virus which trashed the Trump economy.
