Beeches, do you have plans for today, are you spending it alone? My heart is with you as you face this day, knowing what a hard year you have had.

The wild turkey pictures are great. I do not have a turkey in the oven this year but a have a flock of wild turkeys in my yard. I am feeding them this year rather than them feed me. LOL

I had four big Toms fighting over the hens in front of my garage this summer. They tussled for about an hour. It's really unusual to see more than 2 Toms together around here. Usually the local flock is a bunch of hens and one old Tom that is obviously in charge, followed by a younger Tom that is just waiting for a chance. I love wild turkeys. They seem to have a big conflict between their curiosity and fear. They always want to see what I'm doing, but as soon as I turn to face them, they back off. I was working on a truck once and they formed a parade around me for a half hour. The just walked around in a circle, watching me.

So kind of you to remember - yes, it is a loss. My children are here now and that is great. Family in Atlanta in contact with us, friends from the East Coast as well.

saddest for me was the election. He would have loved voting for President Trump.


plans are to get the turkey with homemade cornbread stuffing out of the oven at just the right time!

we loved a movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, last night.

that movie has withstood the test of time and lets you know just how much we are losing as a people right now.


and we looked for Northern Exposure clips, since the radio guy from NE is also in the movie.
