People need some kind of 120hz tv/monitor to see the real benefit. You need a high performance display to go with the console or you'll be stuck at 60 frames |

I was a PC gamer since the earlu 90s, but got tired of gfx card prices, compatibility issues, driver issues, rampant cheating in games etc. Also, as a software developer, I already sit at a desk all day. Consoles are a nice compromise for me. |

Maybe about 1/3 of that. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78483729 United States 11/27/2020 11:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have the ray tracing part of the puzzle, now I need the other backend to put it all together. I think what would be the most affordable version of hardware would be to go with a 2nd gen ryzen 7 processor that can be overclocked, that along with 3200mhz dd4r ram paired with a nice motherboard capable, can't forget to get that new harddrive that hooks up like a graphics card into GDDR6 PCI x16 lanes. Transfer rates proab gonna be around 1600mbps easy probably more. proabably 16 gb of RAM, I just plan on staying at 1080p and goin for the most frames I can get on a High Performance monitor. I'm set on my PSU 750W suppoose to last 10 years. I'm looking at like around another 500 dollars still, I'd say It'll cost you atleast 1000 dollars for the real deal but man oh man is it gonna be fucking awesome when you fuinally have all of it combined and functioning. I can't wait |
