FYI, that is the law in most states and has been for years. Prior to the bill you referred to NY required age 16 and over in all seats, less than 16 only in front seats.

Oh it's where it's going, I have no doubt. I was driving before seat belts or even insurance was mandatory. Nobody wore helmets when they rode motorcycles, nobody wore seatbelts when they drove, teenagers smoked, kids shot BB guns and even .22's in empty fields, it was a completely different world. So much freedom has been lost in the past few decades it's really astonishing and it's been lost because people are so willing to give it up in exchange for the promise of safety. Funny thing is, more people die these days in automobile crashes, riding motorcycles, from cancer and gun violence then ever before yet they've got more laws more rules and more safety equipment than anyone would ever have imagined. I'm just using these things as rough examples for comparison, there are plenty more but the point is people are getting worse and they just don't seem to care about life or the future anymore. Promise them safety and they'll give up every right they have and believe they're safe even though all the evidence proves them wrong. This "pandemic" is no different and masks are no different either. People will wear them everyday, they'll train kids to wear them and they'll wear them for the rest of their lives if their told to. Freedom is a dying thing and whether anyone wants to admit it or not one day in the near future, it will be dead and what's truly sad is people won't even miss it because they were raised without it and never even tasted it.

To be fair seat belts can prevent you from being thrown through the windshield in a collusion but face masks are nothing more than security blanket and don't do anything but restrict your breathing and making it labored and increase your chances of bacterial pneumonia if worn for hours every day.

Seatbelts have been proven to save lives.
We have more people wearing masks and they have done no good.
Plus, they have proven you can get sick from the masks with bacteria, etc.

And school buses continue to not require seatbelts.
