I am currently in Baylor hospital cancer center in Dallas after receiving this chemo for acute myelar Luchemia. I’m on a phase two clinical study. I received 6 days of chemo with no bad side effects. I have been here a month and just waiting for my ammune system to recover enough to get released. Maybe out in a week or so. The new chemo attacks only the cancer and not the body so they can give it at a higher dose. It is not yet FDA approved but will be soon. |

I was in ICU and had blood transfusions and emergency surgery..... After that, I had 28 abdominal radiations and 6 chemotherapy double treatments every 3 weeks. After 6 months I finally completed my final chemo last Thursday. Wednesday I had a CT scan post treatment which revealed NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE....I have lost every hair on my body including nose hairs (I had beautiful long hair) and have lost 30 lbs.... I am so grateful for this miracle and wanted to share with my friends here as you were all wonderful and supportive on my chemo thread. Love, Bird Shadow Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

At this point, he gets no extra attention - no treatments, no meds, not a second glance, whereas 8 years ago he was facing an 85% chance of death. There's a point past cancer that most do not get to see. You are on your way there. Wishing you all the best! When the shit hits the fan and the end is just nigh, will you cry out to Heaven? Will you lie down and die? Not me, my dear one - THIS IS MY SACRED LIFE - to no one nor no thing I'll surrender. For how does one know where when dead she will go, or if sweet Mother Earth he'll remember? - Sug |
