I would be shocked if Iran has the know how or infrastructure to build fusion nukes.

So that leaves simple fission nukes. The largest pure fission bomb the US ever tested was a half a Megatron and is understood to be at the upper limit of what is possible from a fission bomb.

It's unlikely Iran would even try to build such a weapon. The material needed for 1 such bomb could be used to make 20 bombs of 25kt.

It is most likely that Iran is building nukes in the 15 to 50kt range. Nukes of this size though powerful are not what folks often imagine. Indeed even 100kt nukes are less destructive than people usually think. Most people's idea of what a nuke can do is equivalent to a 10 to 25mt bomb.

Each kiloton added expands a bombs lethality by half as much as the previous kiloton.

A 25kt bomb ground bursts 5 miles from you? You're walking away. Though you oughta walk briskly because if the winds are right you'll take a dose of radiation that may be lethal over time.
