The Path

Ah, the path. I used to think the path was only obtained through self sacrifice and completely giving to others, thus nurturing karma and wisdom. But I think that only gets you part way. Far enough to develop the rock, the foundation in which to ask the correct questions.

But those questions can't just be asked to yourself or into thin air. They have to be asked to others. Others you trust wholeheartedly. Others that you recognize in traveling the same path as you are looking for. Others that hold clues that you are just starting to look for, but they themselves don't know it, don't know those are the clues you are looking for, the clues they possess. Clues they have discovered through their own pain and suffering.

So you call these people friends. You respect these people. You are not ashamed to be yourself around these people. The people that truly matter. The people that accept you as you are and always make themselves available. The people that are not embarrassed to be seen with you or associated with you.

These fellow soul travelers hold the keys. The travelers you have identified as having similar frequency. Now you just need to fully discover the questions and ask to the right holder. So much fun. So many different ways of looking at life.

So it isn't the power or the external knowledge that forms the path, it is connections established. Connections established the widen the path so you don't even have to look down. For when you do tumble and you dare take a look, you find with amazement the path is as wide and far as the eye can see. Then you can take a break, and sit down for a bit. For the path is no longer razor sharp and paper thin. It is something completely new. Something that whispers of more and different secrets held. Something new. Something unique. Something original.

Time for the pendulum to swing again back to stasis. Maybe it is just a personal pendulum ... maybe not.
