I’m paraphrasing but it says something about “sending fire on those who dwell safely in the isles.” Other translations say coastlands, but the point is it’s a far away place that the writer (Ezekiel?) wasn’t familiar with but described in the best way he could. Sounds like it could be the USA. Dwelling safely = false sense of security, thinking we are an invincible superpower. Fire = nuclear, more than likely. |
