Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77994583 Then use Duckduckgo for the same results, you get tons of links instantly to watch it! The Shining is not 20 years old retard. It didn't come out in 2000. It came out in 1980. Which would make it 40 years old. Freakin idiots! GOSH! |

User ID: 76903646 United States 12/03/2020 10:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why the hell would the be censoring 20-40 year old movies to watch? Doesn't make any sense to me at all. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77994583 Because, we used to love our country. Watch any movie from the 80's and 90's, PRO AMERICA. Think of all the big blockbusters. 007, the last boy scout, 48 hours, 24, Rambo, Red Dawn, I could go on forever. The biggest hits were PRO AMERICA. Even Star Wars was oddly, at least, PRO FREEDOM. |

Doesn't make any sense to me at all. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77994583 Because copyrights are generally 50 years and Google has a policy not to list piracy sites. Not judging either way, but that's the reason. I'm not paranoid...am I? |

It's also copyright holders sending out bulk notices that even get the IMDB and legal streaming links taken down. They claim the notices are automated so it's not intentional but it doesn't change the fact that the links get censored. Marketing teams for remakes of movies and television shows will often intentionally get legal links to an original film or show taken down so anyone searching on Google only finds the remake version. There are also plenty of films and shows that despite being public domain get taken down by fraudulent DMCA notices. I read somewhere that copyright related censorship has led to nearly three quarters of the available internet in the world no longer being indexed by Google. Well, it's still indexed but the public will never see it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 4783385 United States 12/04/2020 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | you supposedly bought rights the moment you ever pay for a movie. most movies are defective by the 40 year mark and arent "original".sound distorted, picture quality old. lastly, once you have those rights.they dont go away. how many dvds and vhs have we lost over the years to overuse? they owe it to us,in my humble opinion. |

To really get freaked out, look for an old movie that's been rereleased. They've been going back and adding chemtrails to shots of the sky so people will think it's normal and always been like this. I came across a blog... 2,3 years ago that had a lot of before and after shots. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79291427 Belgium 12/04/2020 12:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I did a search to watch a 20 year old movie, and google search results returned nothing, no links at all to watch a 20 year old movie. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77994583 I used DuckDuckgo, and I found a link to the 20 year old movie to watch instantly... Switch to Duckduckgo or another search engine. This is BULLSHIT! Interesting. I do feel there is some sort of agenda going on here. Did you notice how many remakes were released those last 20 years or more? It makes you think they want to make you kind of forget about those older generation actors. Like they are being thrown under the bus... "cancelled"... whatever. Total Recall... Superman... Star Trek... even that big mustachioed guy in Hawaii, what's his name again (very popular)..; the remake is nothing like the original. Although we may not like that "old" style, they were the original ones. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79291427 Belgium 12/04/2020 12:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | After switching to duckduckgo search engine, I have found thousands of links to old movies 20 years ago that I can watch for FREE! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77994583 I do like better the new remake of Total Recall. The original with Schwarzenegger was not bad, but the remake has a totally other level of action and much more CGI (there wasn't much CGI at the time), so as an SF it's much better. When you put both side by side - I hate to have to say, but well... the original almost feels like an old Chaplin movie.... |
