RAAF has grounded all Super Hornet's and Growler's
RAAF has grounded all of it's F/A-18F Super Hornet's and EA-18G Growlers after a take off incident requiring the pilots to eject.

Not the most ideal time to ground the entire fleet... unless EMP's, then maybe perfect time :P

I've tried a few times to post links to articles and video.
Not sure what exactly is causing GLP to eat the thread, so, just google up "RAAF grounded" and "sky news australia RAAF grounded" for top links to what I'm trying to post.

What are you yanks playing at!

Seriously though, it's a small number of aircraft doing a lot of flight time, so...

I hear on the wind we are going to be restarting our aircraft and munitions factories down the line anyway, maybe we can do a refurb.

Interesting. Remember, we do have 72 F-35's slowly trickling in as well. First one arrived here December 2018.
Coz reasons, probably.

It is something wrong with the fuel.

The 'me tel u now May 15' thread even warned about oil becoming bad and useless

Running out of Chinese replacement parts?

It's real. It's a problem. Ah yes, China slave labor keeping the Air Forces of the West in top flying shape no longer.

Wireless cyberattack on the jet's electronic systems, perhaps?

Combination of the two, China parts receive activation signal and malfunction?

Satellite laser? "We can hit your planes on the runway."

Here's an outside chance that raises the conspiracy level: last time we lost one of these birds it caught fire whilst at... Nellis. A message?

It could also just be as reports have said, problems with the engines. Although, I've since heard 'auto-ejection-system' was triggered, and, the video I first saw on Sky News Australia shows burn/scorch marks on the fuselage where the cockpit is.
Normal for ejection?

Or the black goo is sentient and angry.
Coz reasons, probably.
