Food with Attitude!

Shared a slice of cold pizza with the feathered wilds outside. They are confused about eating pinched crusty bread, me too. But I ran out of seeds, worms and thistle. :(


They'll keep getting it, even if they don't like it. Something larger, like a dove pressed down the snow drifts to eat the bread...so they are not alone. And the hawk hasn't paid attention to them.

Hold your soul tightly and say sweet things during tough times.

found a jar of roasted peppers that actually hadn't expired. Cut one for the arugula, balsamic, sesame, sesame seed, egg salad. Mid morning snack. Someone else needs to eat the pizza.

I had a wisdom tooth yanked this morning so there won't be much, if any, eating today for me.

I do see Tito's in my very near future though.

Milkshakes are a very good way to get nutrition after having a wisdom tooth pulled. Tito's may make it more like juicing..yanno, adding potato juice to the moo juice (cows eat grass, so the milk must be practically vegan)

Potato juice? That just sounds...very wrong. Anyhow...

It's spring here, no matter we're expecting another foot of snow on Thursday - first one from our old girls so far this year.

The cheese looks good! we have a local goat farm that does some amazing stuff. Our favorite is their feta.

I sadly have no green beans to trade. They turned out really well, and my daughter came home and ate what was left in the pan, then came and begged for mine off my plate. lol

The bracelet is a moebius strip with the prayer of St. Francis on it - The one that starts out 'Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace...' I have worn it for nearly 3 decades now. I lost it once in a lambing but my older daughter found it in the snow a few days later.

It's my touchstone, to remind me of the kind of person I aspire to be.

St. Francis had a fascinating life. I also like his 'Canticle of the Sun'

And thank you, I should sleep well tonight. They did prescribe a few painkillers. Thank God. I took a nap when I first got home and woke up miserable in pain. Took a couple of the pain meds and made one drink. I feel relatively pain-free atm. Phew!

I had a pretty easy day today.
I should stop lecturing, but it is much easier to control pain if you stop it before it starts. It is difficult to beat it back once it has gained a foothold. Take your meds as prescribed for best pain control and quickest healing. (I am so bossy) lol

lol..I used to tease the kids and tell them we didn't have enough eggs for breakfast, they needed to go out and squeeze the chickens. (we had 200 at that time = wtf was I thinking?)

My son came over and stayed for dinner. Figures, it wasn't a very good dinner night.

I made bratwurst. Mr made asparagus & I had spaghetti squash. I was going to make oven fries, but didn't realize that I was out of potatoes. I ended up throwing the mozzarella sticks in the air fryer.

Unfortunately Mr was the only one that liked the bratwurst. I made a box of Kraft dinner since my hadn't eaten. Somehow, I managed to burn the fuck out of my tongue testing the macaroni to see if it was done. Don't ask me how, I'm just a dork sometimes.

Then my tongue hurt so bad, I didn't eat that either. I guess it was a good night for my diet!

Oh, I have having a tooth pulled! It hurts so bad after the numbing wears off. Hope it heals quickly!
