Protection against radiation damage
Muscle relaxation
Hypotensive effects

Re: Food with Attitude!
inquiring minds want to know--

(and please no Nancy Piglosi jokes, we had ice cream before she nearly ruined it)

I came across this in the store, so I was looking it up

[link to nightfood.com (secure)]

it's pickles in ice cream, and I haven't tried it yet--I did buy it though--I like to try weird new foods....never saw it before...I will let y'all know what it tastes like--

when I went to that link above, I got a pop-up saying if I upload my receipt they will reimburse for the first pint through PayPal or something else--I haven't checked my email for the link yet...

I started looking at different ice cream sites
This one got my attention--
[link to icecreamsource.com (secure)]

and from there, then came across this one from a Michigan company---

Hudsonville Blue Moon ice cream

that is described as "the indescribable taste of a blue sky..."

[link to www.hudsonvilleicecream.com (secure)]

Needless to say, I'm a curious cat and really really want to know what it tastes like....

I'm not going to order it for two reasons--never had much luck ordering perishable items (although never tried to order ice cream) and two--I didn't check but it's going be too expensive imo for something that may melt on the way...

Anyone ever tried this blue moon? Anyone have a particular favorite flavor to recommend that I might be able to find here in FL?

I am a fan of Culver's Custard--not really ice cream, I know but it's wonderful in my opinion...

Looking forward to hearing from y'all!

I've had it back when I lived in the midwest. The joke was that it turned your poop blue too. Otherwise if I remember right it was sort of a sweet cotton candy type flavor. I don't think I would be a fan now. We also had one called Coyote chocolate that was a chocolate ice cream with jalepenos in it. or maybe just jalepeno oil. It was all creamy and chocolate-y and then your mouth would be on fire and you'd want another bite to cool it off. lol

I also once ate at a restaurant in Boulder, CO (can't remember name of restaurant) that served kind of down home cooking but had jalepeno oil in the mashed potatoes. And it was the same thing..delicious creamy mashed potatoes AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT BURNED! and you wanted to put another bite of creamy mashed potatoes in your mouth to assuage the burn but it was a trick!

I LOVE CULVERS, custard, pot roast sandwiches, pork tenderloins, and cheese curds. So sad that we don't have them here in the North East.

The most amazing custard I have had though was hands down a place in Champaign-Urbana IL called 'Custard Cup'. I know they ship and have considered getting some but it seems a silly expenditure with 3 kids in college atm.

cheers

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words everyone. boss

I have been offered another dog by extended family seeking a forever home for him.

Probably going to take him. Will need to get him fixed, licensed and boosted.

He's A 12 week old Catahoola/Great Dane/lab mix named Panda.

Of course in my tiny home, a dog like that could get to be the size of a small horse.... It's a tough call....1dunno1

Doc (one of the Scottish terriers I shared a pic of recently) isn't really mine in the sense he belongs to the Kennel my brother want's to establish. He is meant to be the sire for that, so my position with him was mostly meant to be a functional solution to that end. I have not really tried to attach myself to him or had him in my home more than a couple times out of respect to Riley. I did'n't want him to feel like I was trying to replace him.

Anyhoo........Again, thanks you all for the kindness. I am doing alright, just sad. Got some decisions to make.

Why thank you dear pool! hugs

Being outside is of great benefit, I'm moving more though still hurting, I believe I'm hurting less.

I'm able to walk today despite the electric gimp carts at the Kroger having dead batteries and my needing to walk the store shopping for a few items yesterday. I had a cart to lean on though.

When I read "You are truly wild, man, wild", my first thought was of 'Baby' yelling "You're wild!!!" in Dirty Dancing filmed here in my home of Virginia at Mountain Lake.

Re: Food with Attitude!
Food with 'tude.

Gotcha.

I'm dropping a recommendation for a food product here:

[link to groceryeshop.us (secure)]

This stuff is great. I get it at the local Asian grocery store. It does have a bit of spice to it. That spice intensifies as the bottle 'ages' in the fridge.

I really, really like this cut 50/50 with a regular off-the-shelf BBQ sauce for marinating and saucing meats for the grill. It's also really good when you add extra brown sugar to it and use that as a glaze for salmon or other firm-fleshed fish.
 Quoting: Shadowlander

Thank for the spice tip, San-J produces those here in central Virginia!

San-J is a great food company.
Hmmmmmm....I know of a small weather station near them.

We had a good day together yesterday.

He went outside all on his own and palled around with me for awhile. Marked his spots, layed on the grass and let me rub his tummy. Ate his food, drank water, was happy.

I thought he might pull through, but he kept having at least one seizure a day and those really knocked him out. I kinda expected I would lose him, but held out hope.

Two big ones in a short time, finally took him, he had enough.

After the last one, his breathing became shallow and then he gave over.

I buried him up the hill. Will need to go back and finish covering him this evening when it's cooler and add another layer of large rock to keep predators from digging him up.

My two latest supplements...

Berberine:

[link to www.healthline.com (secure)]

Berberine has been shown to lower blood sugar, cause weight loss and improve heart health, to name a few.

Meriva:

Meriva’s formulation includes curcumin and letchin — a fat that is essential in the body and a good source of choline which helps to dissolve cholesterol and fat, as well as regulating the liver, gallbladder and kidney. Meriva is an important patented ingredient because its inflammation-modulating activity translates into versatile, far-ranging health support.

So seven cans later and after dinner without taking any insulin, my blood glucose is 70--something is working!

I take vitamin D3, vitamin K and this, which the manufacturer sends me three bottles of every three months at no cost to me--free from them. [link to mvwnutritionals.com (secure)]

I have bought thru them before if I need a lot of things so I can get free shipping. Usually though, I end up getting it on Amazon. I like their products.

I just covered the steak with Peruvian Grilling sauce & baked it covered at 250 for a few hours. Then uncovered at 300 to brown it. The sauce at the store is about $5. It's really good on chicken, sweet & spicy.

Epicurean poetry.
Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.
