It was girlfriend's night to cook. She bought ribs from Publix, frozen broccoli cheese rice, b and baked beans. Apple cobbler with pumpkin ice cream for dessert.

I always love reading this thread, but am sorry if it feels intrusive to post about this. Only caring thoughts....

I get the feeling that Mrs. Louis isn't leaving food to ruin on purpose. It could be a sign of something going on with her health. Kindness and patience might be what's needed now. And a check up with the Dr.

As planned.

Manicotti, Italian sausage, spaghetti sauce, Ricotta, Parmesan, and Provolone cheeses. Garlic buttered Italian bread, and salad with ranch dressing, but only because she threw away my bottle of Italian dressing because she doesn't use it and it took up space in the 'fridge.

I can't make this stuff up and am unequipped to deal with it.

Sounds like a Feast!
Is that one of the plates you don't like?
 Quoting: Half Past Midnight

It was really good, my actual first decent meal here in three weeks, and I cooked it.

I like the blue plates but they are getting worn. My favorites are the Anchor Hocking Forest Green glassware, that we don't use, and the ones I don't like are cheap ceramic ones.
Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,

Same for me; that happened with the food pictures embedding incorrectly a year or so ago here.

I want all here to know I'm not mean to Mrs. When she was ill three years ago, I spent six weeks in her room in the hospital with her during her two stays there.

I am constantly frustrated by Mrs. and vent here; I won't be a quitter and file for divorce--that is not me.

She did like what I cooked for dinner last night, its just a shame that we had to starve for two days before she helped with the kitchen sink / dishes issue.

The snow is gone, 'rained away overnight.

I got the washer and dryer in place and connected last night only to learn that the water taps on the wall are reversed--hot on the right and cold on the left.
Now I get to drag them out again, swap the water hoses, which being stainless steel is not easy, reconnect them again and be sure it all works.
I don't believe running hot water to the dryer is an issue as it is only used in the steam cycle, but the washer would be washing in cold and rinsing in hot if I don't correct this. So there's an hour's work to repeat.
Mrs. said she would never let me install ceiling fans again as she always gets her hands caught up in them. Every room here except the three bathrooms has a new ceiling fan. lmao

I've bought a supply of ceiling fan light bulbs; who knew they require a light with a candelabra base now, not the standard Edison base on a 'regular' light?

Each fan had four forty watt incandescent lamps which I replaced with 3 watt LED lamps, each having the same color and more than 60 watts of incandescent brightness. Since she never turns off lights, these will ensure the electric bill doesn't suffer behind that, and our rooms are blindingly bright now. I like frosted lamp bulbs, she likes clear.

I bought clear lights because she likes seeing the filament or light emitting element inside them.

You know what? I have busted my butt moving us to the best of my ability. This morning is a beer and UAP shows on YouTube morning.

I may even burp , fart , and eat chocolate chip cookies!!

It's still here. I've simply chosen to no longer tolerate abuse or neglect as acceptable and will tie 'needs being met' to civil considerate behavior and being an actual partner.

The door is there if being a decent person is too hard for her. It's much easier and not stressful on me this way.

I even have the washer and dryer hooked up correctly now and running the self-clean on the washer!

I was going to make a vanilla BOWL cake and after mixing the dry ingredients I remembered hub said he took strawberries out of the freezer & put them in the fridge.
So I made another strawberry BOWL cake.
It was so good. He said I should make the same cake using pineapple. I said how about both, kinda like a banana split & he said yeah.

Strawberry Bowl Cake

4 T flour
2 T sugar
1/2 t baking powder
4 T liquid (strawberry juice, water, milk) ( I used 3T strawberry juice & 1T water)
1 1/2 T oil
1/4 t vanilla
2 or 3 T strawberries sliced or chopped

Mix the dry stuff in the bowl (I put coconut milk powder in with the dry stuff sometimes).
Add the wet stuff (including berries)

Nuke 1 minute.

Perhaps it is the influence of the Wolf Moon? That starts shortly for 'full on ' full? Or the fact that we seem to be stuck in a awkwardly balanced and precarious, global scenario of 'who knows what the fuck is going on', or that...Anyhow. Making a beef stew and the bread machine is humming. Nada empty shelves yet even with the trucker scenario up here.

Fresh baked bread?!?!?!?! I'll bet Butters can smell it from Georgia!

Seriously though, for some philosophical notations: no matter what the choices, we remain in the same path of our "pre-destiny". Honestly, it's that feeling someone is gonna die again. The times frames are getting closer and closer. And no one is escaping. Dreams are darker, dead people clutter them, nothing I can do to provide for those in the afterlife.

Are you dodging the ethereal doom?

I'm not a TV watcher, have never seen this show but a friend shared the monologue. And I find it to be a great doom shaker

My daughter went back to the doctor today to get another test because of her first "inconclusive" result. They did a rapid test for covid, flu A and flu B. All negative! :)

Everyone over at the house seems to be over it too.
They celebrated today and cooked T-bone steaks, baked potatoes, and salads.

My Brother brought me a plate out to the RV.

There's a battle waging in my head with a darkness vs my own 'steadfastedness'. I think I just made up a word ,but it sounds good anyhow. So, it's one day at a time. I suppose the struggles 'we' all get were asked for at some point for growth. God does not give us challenges we can not overcome, it is said. Better to do it with besties then alone, that is for sure. And even here it resonates as 'family' for a blood family-less, bastard! I read, but don't post much. Soon to change me'thinks.
