The garden is starting to feed us, picked a bunch of veges today. The cabbage did very well this year. Going to make couple big pots of, stuffed cabbage and a crock of sauerkraut. Green peppers , sweet Hungarian peppers by the bushel basket.
Lettuce and kale did well. Potatoes are close, tomatoes have a while to go, but they are loaded, squash looking good, little longer to go on them.

Seems my green thumb came back.

We are having Stampott. Potatoes mashed with garlic, onions, spinach (normally kale but...) and bacon bits with duck and blueberry sausage with a dollop of Greek yogurt (plain obviously). I find I like the yogurt more then I like sour cream, and I like sour cream ALOT! I'll see if it is photo worthy later.

Searching for some energy, and it's getting a little late but that's okay because Nef is working late tonight.

I might make these meatballs. It's so hot in the kitchen though. If he wants the meatballs, I will get in there and make it happen. He tends not to be very hungry when he gets home late and might just want to go to bed. Waiting to hear back from him. There's a light, quick back up plan in place of ham and cheese wraps on low carb tortillas.

It is too hot to cook. My son just got home from a 12 hour shift (me too, but his is more physical than mine) So I made him a farmer scramble with a bunch of leftovers from the fridge - those bits of broccoli, a few leftover roast potatoes sliced up, a little red pepper, a small tomato, ham, cheese, and 5 farm fresh eggs.

some cantaloupe, and a piece of sourdough with irish butter and homemade strawberry jam.

I'm having a glass of wine and a perfect peach - thanks for the idea pool. lol

But those meatballs look good..maybe it will be cooler tomorrow!!

Yeah, no energy left here either. It's actually not too hot today, but we stayed home to clean. Well. besides just regular cleaning, we took on a big project that we've been talking about for a while.

We rearranged the cat's bedroom which is also our storage room. Rotated some food stuffs and blocked off under the bed. The cats aren't allowed under there any more. It's too hard to clean. We have lift up the mattress. Now they're all fucked up!yeahsure

I'm trying those bologna balls TB shared. Mr said it sounded really good.

Have you ever seen the keto pancake/ muffin type recipes? I was looking at some oat fiber powder on Amazon ans saw in some of the reviews that people were using it for keto recipes.

Here is the one I was looking at. I don't know it's good, but maybe it could help satisfy those cravings?

They're pretty good, except the bologna tastes saltier after you heat it. I haven't fried bologna since I went low salt. I can only eat 1 piece.

I personally like fried bologna. I hope you enjoy them!

Funny you mention the keto pancakes. I was recently looking at a keto pancake mix that Target sells. They also have a sugar-free maple syrup.

I did end up making the meatballs tonight. Almond flour is used. They're actually pretty good!

Will add mozzarella cheese before indulging lol. :)

Simple meal. Steamed spinach with a drizzling of sesame as a bed, mushrooms (mixed, Org.) fried in bacon lard with a splash of lemon juice and tamari. Then small slices of tenderloin quickly fried in tamari, honey, and lemon juice with a dash of sesame oil. NO carbs!

We used to make them with hamburger patties for the low sodium/low cholesterol residents. I never had them, but the residents liked them. You make them almost the same, but cook the patties all the way through before you top them.

I should have known better. Maybe I'll try then with hamburger patties next time. Mr really liked them though!

Sometimes I forget that things I used to like just don't taste the same now that my taste buds have gotten used to less salt.

I am glad when I do notice though. Sometimes like the nachos I had on the 4th were spicy & I didn't notice, I keep eating. That is worse, because I don't feel good the next day.

It's always nice to try something different.hf
