Tonight, roasted parsnip, butternut squash and onion soup with bacon added. And sammiches of whatever sort....

OMG, lost night was crazy here!! We're just got my the gossip at the park.

One house burnt down. The fire hydrant close to her didn't work. By the time they went further down. It is was too late. We drove past. Only 2 walls were standing. She died. Rumor is she was drunk and he also smoked
So maybe she fell asleep with a cigarette?


Then right at the Fl border, a guy laid down dressed in black on the road and someone ran him over.
I'm trying to find a news article.

Then the propane tanks on a good truck in blew up.

Geez, that's awful. Please hunker down and don't leave the house for at least a week.

We went to the park today finally. We've been running around looking at properties for our buddy. So I've got a squirrel video and some sunset pics to upload. I even got a pic of the huge ass boat at the new dock.

Baked corkscrews with hamburger meat and mushrooms topped with mozzarella. I used up the rest of the buns for garlic bread. Woody had prosciutto so he made a sandwich with the garlic bread.

We had a beautiful chuck roast from the neighbors on Thursday - He does finish them on grain but he grows the grain himself. And the root veggies are all from the garden (mine and clients') blue and white potatoes, carrots, parsnips, onions, and garlic. The rosemary is from a plant I keep in the kitchen in the winter..but it goes back outside when it gets warm out.

We love our little town. Although we maybe moving farther away from downtown when our friend gets here. Were thinking he wants us to move in with him. He's looking for a property with an extra build for us.

The neighbor got her name on the back of the bike. They manage to find some tasks that even matched.

They won't last forever. I'm sure they'll get muddy and have to be taken off, but we thought it was cute.

It's definitely great! It still feels weird when I talk about him to people, and say 'my husband'. Lol. Good weird. It makes me smile and gives me a proud feeling to say it. Should be getting my copy of our marriage certificate soon so that I can officially/legally change my last name. It will take some getting used to signing things with a new last name haha!

Para, I love your pics! Things will start slowing down at work now and I will be able to post more often again. I always lurk and keep up with everyone here though. This thread always makes me smile.

I remember it being weird to sign a different name. My new name was easier and shorter so that was good. My daughter went from 4 letters to 9. Oddly enough, her signature is now a scribble.

Odd one out, I've never changed my name. The logic astounded me.

In my case, I wanted a new life and a new name just completed that. I was abt tom run away before I met Woody. I still ran away and left that life just with someone who would take care of me.

I think I saw my mom a handful of times after I married. Once, we took the children to visit with the stipulation that it would be strictly outside. I did not want my babies in her nasty ass house. The last time, was when we went home for a visit during a mandatory hurricane evaluation. She was already in a nursing home by then and didn't know who we were. I suppose I should've felt bad? But I didn't. I didn't go home for her funeral.

It's cold out today, but we're going to bundle up and try to go to the park if it doesn't rain. Yesterday we stayed home and did some reorganizing in the kitchen.

We got a turkey yesterday. There was an unexpected knock at the door 9am. It was our local Kawanis club bringing everyone food packages. I even got a can of yams. Now all I have to buy is stuff for broccoli casserole.

I made a pumpkin pie last year that wasn't great. I tried the Libby recipe. I got a can of sweetened condensed milk and I have have pumpkin. I'm going to dig around for a recipe, but if anyone has a suggestion, that would be great.

I've changed my name many times on here...lol...going through the old Q thread. I did try, with less then impeccable timing, to get a birth/berth certificate under the name I was born with. Alas, even though my birth mother told me my name (I already knew it) and I had some bits and pieces/tidbits I sent in the application and it arrived on 9/11...so a no go on becoming Paul Bryan Bucholtz! I bet if I had tried a few months before I might have actually pulled it off.

Met my youngest halfway from her college at a Mexican restaurant yesterday for lunch..I had the chicken tacos and she had nachos. Those beans were sooooo good! I ate the beans and one taco and brought the rest home for my son. I think it was 11.99 for the plate, more than I like to spend but it was a lot of food.

The tacos look good! I'm making tacos tonight. I've got pintos cooking on the stove right now.

We've been eating supper late because we've been sitting out with the neighbors. But hey, where only eating once a day. We don't really snack during the day. And no room for snacks after eating that late.

I totally wanted to eat mexican food today (no frijoles), just couldn't make it out.

We're on all on the same page and it's not even Taco Tuesday.
