best veggie sandwich ever
Wholegrain bread, toasted
Yellow mustard
Miracle Whip (not mayo - it makes a difference)
sliced avocado
alfalfa sprouts
sliced mushrooms
sliced red onion
sliced tomato
Packs up well and toasting the bread keeps it from getting soggy before lunch.
This has been my go to veggie sandwich for 25 years.
Quoting: Happy in Nature would you add some sharp cheddar :) and butter.. I put butter on bread  i realize it no longer is 100 percent vegetarian then.  I have had it with provolone before, but I am such a purist when it comes to this sandwich, But it is a start for whatever calls your taste buds! I am a bad vegetarian.. the sandwich sounds delicious and like the sandwiches this mom and pop coffee and bakery used to make until starbucks ruined coffee for us all.
