We ate leftovers last night. Tonight, we are going to my daughter's for dinner. She is making pizza. We just had it, but that's ok. We're not really going for the food, but the company!

My laptop is so screwy, I'm going to re-install Windows. It keeps freezing & I have to shut it off using the off button. I've checked the disk & memory for errors & they look ok. So I guessing Windows got corrupted somwhow.

I can't open & pics or videos or I get the dreaded Not Responding message. Oh well, off to repair.

At least I was able to back everything up. Hoping I didn't forget anything!!!

Win 10 or Win 7 reload?

I'm running Windows 10 Enterprise
Version 21H1
Installed on November 20 2020
OS build 19043.1023
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0

I may be able to find or generate a license number for a Pro version of Win 10 21H1 if you need one. It will take some digging but I should be able to recover one.

Gov and business computers all come with a Win 10 Pro license installed and that license number while valid, is overwritten by an Enterprise version serial number and the perfectly good pro version license is discarded.

I have not seen or used a more trouble-free version of Windows since the 1980's. You will need to ensure your BIOS in current, using the Lenovo updater, or perhaps just install Win 10 and it will see you need a BIOS flash and will do it itself.

I'd format a small form factor drive with a Windows version ready to be logged into for the first time if I still had a same model Lenovo laptop. They asked I send my last laptop back unlike the five or six dead ones sitting on the garage shelf. They resissued it to my team's new boss. 'Sucks because I really wanted to keep that one since it worked so well and I had even disassembled it a few months earlier and replaced the BlueTooth transceiver module with a higher powered one for better range.

At least my office correctly determined who needs a higher powered laptop to do their job!
