It freaked me out.....

I know he doesn't have much time left.

The last few nights, he has been making weird noises in his sleep.

I will miss him when he is gone.... Best dog I have ever had the pleasure to call company. stars

awww, so hard to say goodbye. Are you in the heat wave? Keeping him as cool as possible may help. Wetting his foot pads with cool water while laying in front of a fan is really helpful.

I have a super old guy too.

No, it's only like 65 degree out today.

He just suddenly keeled over, groaned and stopped breathing!

:RI-ROO:

Never seen anything like it.

ohmygoodness! He's adorable!

He is a catahoula cur, Australian Shepard mix.

He was given to me as a gift by some long time family friends.

I didn't even want him......but.....he has turned out to be the best friend I ever had in a pet.

He is very loyal.

That would freak me out too. :(

Please let him see you happy too, so he feels he's made you happy. Dogs are genetically evolved with an ability to understand humans. He doesn't want you sad...

I'm watching a show on hulu about the retirement "Villages" in Florida. omg~shoot me before I try to move there. There is a fellow who lives in this van and is specifically looking for a rich, alone, attractive woman to shack up and inherit everything. Everyone there looks so unhealthy. I had no idea how shallow the majority of Americans are...eye opener. I understand how ridiculous Trump appears as well.

No one is ever prepared for the death of a loved one, pet or human.

I want to know his bucket list....too bad he can't talk. I still owe him a beef knuckle bone.

He knows... He knows I find joy in his company. His loyalty is beyond par.

On the flip side......

I have a new Scottish Terrier coming to live with me soon.

He isn't staying with me yet though.

His name is Murdoch or Doc for short.

He also was kinda thrust upon me, even though currently he is staying in the main house and is in the process of being house trained.

There are three of them here currently, all pure bred, registered and papered.

The oldest has had two litters already.

Doc is to be the male sire for the kennel my brother is working on for the younger female Bon Bon >> :Bon:

Doc is from a different lineage.

He will be remanded into my care within the next few months......maybe my old dog......knows this....

Wow DB, you have much greater gardening progress than us.

When it was hot here two weeks ago I used the ruffly back pasta and made that antimatter antipasto with the cheeses, sopressata Italian meat, beans, tomatoes, and Italian dressing. It was a great hot day meal.

It cooled down here and should be cool much of the week behind rain. We had 1.38" today so far.

Oh, here is my Corned beef and onion ring dinner.

So funny you had corned beef tonight! You inspired Mr to have a reuben tonight. There were big thunderstorm clouds so we decided to put our dinner out off to another night. It's a restaurant with outside seating.

So we decided on sandwiches. I had my usual roast beef & havarti.

https://imgur.com/7pK1cl9

Mr had corned beef, roast beef, havarti, swiss, Sauerkraut
with a bit of brown sugar, bacon, onions, & thousand island dressing on thick rye.

I don't want an upgrade atm. I can easily pay month by month, just need to work on things here without too much distraction currently.

I am content to see where the rest of the summer leads me, financially or otherwise.

Will re-up in a month or two.

I have a few green to hand out before I go.

Thanks.

That means a lot.

My dog just had another episode a few hours ago.....Not as bad as the first, but equally concerning..... after it....

I took him for a ride in the truck up the county road.

Cracked the window so he could inhale the surroundings.

Saw a rabbit in the road that went into the brush and let him out to sniff.

Then we proceeded up the road again.

On the way back saw another rabbit. Let him out to sniff.

This time he caught the scent and went down the incline to investigate with child like vigor.

I called him back, because I really didn't want him catching the rabbit.......just wanted him to experience some freedom to roam.

He cooperated, but I heard a yelp and saw that he had went down again, but not as bad as the first two times. He was still alert.

He came up the small incline and I helped him into the truck.....before he just hopped in himself, but that small 2 min range must have wore him out.

He is almost 13......I expected this, but nothing can really prepare someone for it.

My parents......are not spring chickens either.........I know one day their time will come too...........sooner than I would like. bricks

It's 12:30 AM US EST and I need to awaken for work in five hours, fifteen minutes.

I'm hungry and want to make a crispy chicken sammich. Which means I need to turn on the stove or oven.

I'm doomed, it's too late for any normal person to eat.

Arggghhhhhhhhhhhh. Oh well off to sleep it is for me. G'night all.

I know how important your best friend is to you.

I may be a sixty year old man, but I still tear up when I think of my cat that was more like a person than a kitteh.

He could unlock the screen door and let himself and the other cats out, would turn off the room light switch if you turned the lights on and he was trying to sleep, and he was deaf and you could communicate with him telepathically. If we wanted him to come home we just had to think we wanted him back and he would come running from the woods.

This is bad.

Maybe just have a small snack? It's hard to go to sleep when you're hungry.

Oh he's adorable!
Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.
