2 weeks alone? How did you manage a whole fortnight of peace & quiet? chuckle
 Quoting: Paranoiaaaaa

Her retired friends with the house at the river are going on vacation so she has the house, pier, crab pots, oh... and the three foot diameter snapping turtlezilla with a head the size of a cantaloupe, all to herself and I have our house and the kittehs all to me!

If she drops something in the river it stays there because of him.
 Quoting: Louis in Richmond

I would stay out of the river, too! HE could take a good size chunk out of you. We had a small snapping turtle in a tank years ago. They are not the nicest creatures.
 Quoting: Paranoiaaaaa

Yes, she's terrified of him and plans on calling Game and Inland Fisheries while she is there to see if they will relocate him. She doesn't want him killed and it is illegal to relocate wildlife, hence her need to engage the right agency to move him many miles up or down river otherwise he'll just come back if he isn't moved far enough away.

He'll probably come back even it it takes him a year just to spite her. He's figured out how to use his paws or flippers, wherever they are called, to release the latch on her crab fishing hooks to allow him to steal the chicken she is fishing the crabs with. He's too big to get into the crab pots when she fishes with them.

She sent me a picture of him sometime two years ago but didn't use the word "turtlezilla" in the text with the pic and I can't find it now. There's somewhere over fifty thousand texts saved on the new phone [they all restore when you log into a new phone] and search is instant, but as she only sent the picture I'd be looking through a few thousand of our texts to find the turtlezilla pic. She may have better luck finding it on her phone.

I'm getting tired and hungry having worked at my backyard table since about 9:30 this morning [I began my workday at 6:00 AM in the house then moved outside] and I'm in the middle of a cat triangle out here now enjoying a margarita, my two kitteh guys and the feral guy are surrounding me from a distance of about ten feet each. It's nice outside and Mr. Blackwell the feral usually leaves as soon as he has eaten breakfast or dinner but since I was outside all day he stayed near me in the yard and he's curled up asleep now. 'Kinda cool, I calm animals without even trying.

The Rappahannock River is beautiful, as the banks of its length are protected by a conservation easement, so no industry or apartments or condos along it. Just very sparse population, like five or six houses per mile of its banks with a significant setback from the river where a home is allowed to be built.

It looks like a beautiful place to spend time!

It is nice to have the cats near you. Mr tells our kitties they need to be in the room at night with us. It makes him happy just to see them around.

Oh, I'm pleased you asked.

Both T i n E y e and [link to www.google.com (secure)] allow you to upload a picture and search for it or similar pictures.

Similar may not work though.

Sadly secret gov searches are not available to us foodies.

I believe they are foodists and don't like foodies.

It's worth a try, I found my Internet stalker's booking picture online. Interesting that the first link is blocked. It must work. chuckle

If I can get my poop in a group, I want to make chicken fried rice tonight. I've been god on my macros this week, so I can take the hit on the carbohydrates and I have been craving fried rice.

Lady-friend is coming over tomorrow, and I got a good buy on chicken breast portions. I'm going to butterfly, tenderize, bread, and cook them into a chicken parmesan-esque dish. That's a dish I haven't had in a long time.

ETA:

Yes, I eat a lot of chicken. It is a good protein, and it's affordable. Beef cannot make that claim. Pork is unclean. Lamb is pricey, but when I NEED red meat, there it is.

Howdy everyone!
It seems as if you all have much more complicated lives than mine, which is mostly work. more work, dirty dishes, housework, and gardening.

I will need to update you with current weedling photos, but here was tonite's dinner which my daughter begged for after watching a tiktok

https://imgur.com/MMwmcs9

can we link tiktoks here or will I get the banhammer?

and this is a plant that seems to be doing really well this year. In the past I have harvested it and frozen it for winter. It can be used just like spinach - raw in salads or cooked in other dishes (presumably all by itself but my kids won't touch plain cooked spinach either). It grows everywhere, and the common name is lamb's quarters.

https://imgur.com/MnyfFDo

And lastly, how I am likely to spend my day off this weekend. We use a LOT of strawberry jam and a few of my neighbors ask for jars when they see us. I use the low sugar sur-jel and only use about a third of the sugar in regular strawberry jam recipes. It is a little runnier but tastes so much fresher! I have always told the kids that this is summer in a jar..when we pick the berries I tell them to choose the perfect one and close their eyes and feel the warm sun and smell the berry and then taste it slowly. That will be the memories to take into long dark February and when they have the jam on their toast on a dark morning, they can remember this moment and the sunshine.

PM me the name and the county please, I'll check for you if they have it available online.

You can public record search anyone in Virginia for free on the Court system's website and on many county Sheriff websites. Perhaps the same is available there?

I'll bet the traffic ticket the cop asked me what I wanted to be charged with is probably on there if you look me up.

We decided upon "following too closely" as it was only an $8 fine. chuckle

If I recall the judge dismissed it as were the previous four in twenty five years.

It's 12:30 AM US EST and I need to awaken for work in five hours, fifteen minutes.

I'm hungry and want to make a crispy chicken sammich. Which means I need to turn on the stove or oven.

I'm doomed, it's too late for any normal person to eat.

Arggghhhhhhhhhhhh. Oh well off to sleep it is for me. G'night all.
