Quoting: Saint Lance the Odd from BC I love quinoa and amaranth. They reseed and get weedy if you let them. I never grew all those colors though. They taste like popcorn if you pop the seeds in a kettle on the stove. Trouble is you can only pop a tablespoon or 2 at a time. I may try the popcorn thing. We have quinoa in the pantry. There are a lot of youtubes on it. Remember 1 or 2 T and that's it. No oil. Put it in a kettle (not a pan) because they pop high. You stir the seeds with the heat on medium high. (no lid) I think I turned the heat down little by little as they were popping like I did with popcorn. They turn white like popcorn but are very small. You can eat it with your fingers or a spoon (cause they're so small). I was thinking of getting some quinoa the other day. I'll have to try this! I've got corn flake coated chicken in the oven with baked potatoes.
