I just warned Nef, he better watch out. We have a new cook in the house lol! I'm proud of this dish. My daughter and her boyfriend love it. And it was just coming out of the oven when she got home from work. :)

I like being home and able to do this on weekends. I can't pull this sort of thing off during the week after getting home from work myself. It wouldn't be ready until 10pm lol. I'm a slow cook.

Yeah we are making homemade Pizzas tonight. Today was a Dialysis day for Dakota so we went grocery shopping while he was there. A uneventful day, always nice. Bird is loose and flying around and terrorizing us lol.

Since this isn't really one of drinking days...my son only got me 2 which is perfectly fine for a super hot day (for here). Kind of neat, down to 3 days of moderate drinking (for me that's a mickey of vodka) with odd drinks scattered here and there.

I'm a little embarrassed to post the chicken with the experts here..it is pouring rain so I cheated and just cooked it in the oven and didn't bother with skewers because, well work. But the peanut sauce was perfect and the salad tastes so good when most everything is right out of our garden or a neighbor's.

I eat a little everyday for, um let's call it maintenance.


I'm going to need another bite tonight though. We ended up pulling the washer & dryer out and had to clean the nasty crap off the floor & out of the drain.

Our washer has been leaking. I'm not sure if it's the actual washer or maybe the drain hose is clogged? Anyhow, there is a drain in the floor to catch any water. It started backing up & out onto the kitchen floor.

Apparently, someone who knows much less than I (keeping in mind I know NOTHING about construction) decided to cover the cement floor in the laundry closet with flooring tiles. It was sloped down toward the drain the middle. They tiled over the drain & cut a small semi circle over the drain. So of course, The lint from the dryer got caught in the little drain holes & clogged.

I had to crawl in there & bust out some of the tile with channel locks. That was the only way I could even get in to clean the drain.

I ran a load after & it still leaks so that's why I'm thinking maybe the hose is clogged or loose. I'm going to buy some drain cleaner though because it was bubbling & backing up. I don't know.

Maybe we can get the maintenance man to come and look.

I think I made that birthday smilie. Glad to see it is getting some use!
