Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.

Re: Food with Attitude!
everything imprints.

Made my way thru the funeral service yesterday spending soulful times mending broken participant/family members.

luckily my 2 week old lavender crocks became a funeral gift for a tall, female firefighter, who wore the wrong shoes, tucked her wings under hatred and broke down finally to be human in the end...

just one act of kindness can carry the weight of the world.

Thank you Lord for teaching me thru the pain I've suffered how to ease the burden of others. amen.

Anyone ever heard of buttermilk pie?

I had to try it--actually this was from yesterday.

We saw that at the store once & wondered about it. I think it was $8 and was afraid to pay that much & not like it.

What is it like? Tangy, creamy? I'm curious.
 Quoting: Paranoiaaaaa

No, I thought it would be kind of tangy...really sweet and creamy. Pricey for me too--at $5.99. I put it in the refrigerator before I cut a slice. Almost like a cheesecake. Not sure why I posted it just now I was going to post it earlier today and got caught up in the volcano thread...

I follow this thread to help me eat..hubs can't so everything I make is for me...or the cats...try not to waste food...and so I don't really cook to speak of--I make a lot of sandwiches lately out of the cold cuts I get to share with my one finicky kitty who is on iv fluids...I put a little minced deli meat on top of her special canned food to get her to eat...

Having a rough night tonight tbh....first, BBQ Boy, now DMJ's wife...it's heartbreaking...I'm sad and angry at the same time...I was crying earlier....totally out of sorts tonight...my heart goes out to Louis and what he is enduring too....

Those pizzas look delicious though...too bad about the crust...

Glad you're doing better, Para--you inspire me to keep going and I pray for you to continue to get back to normal soon!

Re: Food with Attitude!
Good day everyone.

That was very kind of you Pool.

I had a sleepless night so posted music that spake my soul at the time.

Waiting in the truck while Mrs. tans, so I've a few minutes before my laptop use would be dangerous from bumps and lane changes.

We found everything needed at the Kroger [large US grocery chain] store!

They had salty county ham so I had them slice two pounds for sammiches; they had British ginger beer [I bought twenty bottles!], beef little smokies sausages and even fresh water bugs [crawdads] to be combined to make jambalaya for dinner, possibly tomorrow.

As we were between home and here I got a text stating check my email from the ABC store [where booze is sold in Virginia] and the manager walked out with it in a box, already paid for when I pulled up. Their website has you enter your vehicle type, license tag, and arrival time in addition to your credit card and when we pulled in front of the store, my Ginger liquor was immediately carried out.

This Internet shopping just may be more than a fad!!

I also will not wait at the DMV so I make an appointment ahead of time and am immediately assisted when I walk in vs. waiting two to three hours like everyone else. Can you believe the stupid libs even complained that people could make appointments and be served the moment they walk in the door.

Apparently only conservatives make appointments so our ability to do that is attacked by the non-forward thinking people; they're probably all vaxxed too. This was another reason I emailed my 'interested in me beyond medical needs' FNP friend. I need a form from her to get a new handicapped tag at the DMV.

Gotta run, we're driving and I cannot type without injury or mistakes!

Edit for syntax and to expand.

An ok-ish seaside town view. For me anyway. Before it were kind of just walls. My own mistake were buying a silver blind. I thought this is how could Neo end up. Imprisoned in a military grade bunker, inside a block of flats in East Peckham. With an elevator to nowhere.

Cool thing about sleeping and waking up, when its still dark outside. You can leave blinds open and have room lit with moon light. Even vamps need a tan. Wonder if theres any positive to sleeping in moon light. I think some people grow plants under the moon.

Theres a garden thats lit up with blue lights. For some reason I feel like im in Florida ( just because of the lights ) Red dead redemption 2. You travel to the marshlands. With I think, lit walking bridges. So I guess it seems like a marshland. Now I assume the people go Carp fishing. Weird I know. Just over blue lights

That was the song Mr played while our son was in surgery when he was a baby.

Sorry, you couldn't sleep last night. I didn't go to sleep until almost 6 myself. I try to stay off the computer as that only makes it worse for me. I can always find something else to read. Instead I watch shows I've already seen so that I feel like I can close my eyes and not miss anything.

I'm glad you found a sleep-aid that works for you. Was something wrong at your son's birth or was it a well-chosen song for the event?

Having watched "Resident Alien" at least forty times it is my ideal 'sleep TV show distraction'. No bright colors, no loud passages, no annoying voices, and some great music.

I had Mrs. stop at Walgreens drug store and buy me two bottles of 25mg Doxylamine Succinate tablets, the sleep-inducing chemical in Nyquil. I don't need the antihistamines or acetaminophen in Nyquil and the 25mg DS knocks me unconscious in about twenty minutes for at least four hours so I shall achieve sleep via chemistry.

No appetite. Its either the cycle I go through or that cheese messed me up. So walking back with a fish. Made mushy peas from a tin I bought. Wasnt sure how to make but just added some shit. Kind of dry. Was just sitting on my rug. Eating a robust shark ( a Huss ). Not overly appealing but I ate it. Looks like an octapus. Not the best representation of a fish.

Winterizing within a budget, start prepping for your food and electricity outages.

If you want to make your own block ice that will last much longer, you can combine the water with some isopropyl alcohol, which will lower the freezing point of the solution, and melt much slower. A water to isopropyl ratio of 80/20, will freeze at 20F, rather than the usual freezing temp of water, 32F. A water to isopropyl ratio of 70/30, which freezes at 5F, may actually be too cold, and freeze your beverages. I have found the best combo is cubed ice, combined with quality "blue ice", Gott or Rubbermaid brand. A ten pound bag of ice, combined with three blue ices lasts for a number of days, in a Yeti 45, depending on where you store the cooler.

Benadryl does nothing for me--it actually makes most people more alert and awake vs. sleepy.

I will enjoy my Doxylamine Succinate tonight and sleep until the dawn!

Another thing that I find weird is my urgent need for salt. I just now made a 2.5 oz bag of popcorn and needed to add a teaspoon of salt to it despite it being very salty by itself to make it be suitable for my body's needs.

High sodium has numerous adverse side effects, yet I have NONE of them.

My blood pressure behind several teaspoons of salt daily is about 88 / 67 <-- you can't be more perfect than that.

Without salt I become dizzy and have blood pressure so low it cannot be measured.

I ask what the hell is wrong with me?!?!?

I wish I knew.

I'm just a f*cking alien I guess. At least consuming lethal amounts of salt allows me to have a normal life.

Thank God "it" Finally left.

"It" started attacking minutes into a film I downloaded for us to watch.

I thank God it finally left.

While unconformable, I can deal with it leaving behind its inability to deal with a real human that has emotion and likes of music.

It hates everything I like.

I don't give a damn if my likes piss it off.

I just want it gone.
