I'd like to try kayaking down that. To play it safe, would attach a wrist-strap to the paddle to ensure I could right myself up if turtling halfway down.

There's a reason that road is called the Waterfall Way. This happens every couple of years.

The rain you're seeing in Southern QLD and Northern NSW is nothing compared to the rain and floods every wet season in tropical Australia. When you see the Wenlock River flooding 16 metres over the bridge you know it's a lot of water.

Yeah, I suppose the weather gets pretty intense down under when it does hit...

There have been weather warnings etc so there must be concern to a certain degree...

That road doesn't look properly engineered or planned; WTF? There is no place for drainage or runoff, even in a light rain.

Hey, IDK the full outlook/outcome of how this is going, apart from it has been declared a national emergency circumstance there in those parts of Australia and the fact that many have/are losing their homes and other parts of their lands due to it literally being drowned etc...
