LOL The only thing that is obvious is you do not know what they are trying to achieve ! They are designing to land on moon, mars etc They want to leave the crater. Other planets are outwards not up. Quoting: TheGasMan II Do you think they faked the explosion? Don't know what you're talking about. Of course they didn't fake it. It was independently observed and tracked by my software. why would I think it's fake when my own software confirmed that it was real? There's no possible way I could have written software that would fake footage like this. Well you did ask about the fake explosion. LOL |

Quoting: Astromut Well you let me know when you manage to put something into orbit using something better then. man, there are already things in orbit. I'm busy learning about them. Well until you start launching stuff into orbit with something better, I guess companies like SpaceX will keep using good old chemical rocket propulsion. If SpaceX perfects starship it will be completely reusable and the fuel is a lot cheaper than the rocket itself. nah I'll wait for the (good) alien tech. I'm not holding my breath for SpaceX to reach perfection. they seem mostly like a bad joke to me. The company that makes the world's cheapest and most-used rocket seems like a bad joke to you? The company that beat Boeing to putting astronauts back in space from American soil on American rockets? Ok, cool story. |

The landing burn was timed correctly but if you watch the slow mo footage you can see one of the engines shut down in the middle of the landing burn while the flame on the other one turns green. This is because the engines were starved for fuel, the header tanks used to fuel the landing burns had insufficient pressure. Timing would not have mattered, the thrust fell off because of the fuel starved engines. One engine was completely off and the other was burning itself up in an oxygen rich flame (notice the flame also shortens - the thrust on that engine is dropping as it turns green). They were able to use my tracking software to follow the rocket with a telescope and capture some stunning 4K footage of the entire flight, including the explosion at the end. At 5:30 in this video you can see the tracking setup I designed for them: Even though I couldn't be there, I'm very happy to see how well they were able to track it with my software. Hopefully when SpaceX lands a starship successfully, my software will be there once again. Nkce work Astro Ken My personal thoughts & posts are mine alone. I Love God, Jesus, good people, and the U.S.A. the way the Framers signed the Constitution and Bill of Rights. In my real world life I don't have a problem with standing up to those with solid evidence of corruption from either side, of any issue or place. Many are they in this world that need to be rooted out. That makes me a target to be destroyed by very powerful people, I understand this. At some point we have to stand up for what is right before God. I have done this, lived this way, and will continue to do so till they finish me off or I croak of natural causes. |

You the man! Damn, that was AWESOME! You did that! WOW! As I watched, the video was so GOOD, I was thinking, this is just like FLASH GORDON! I understand that rocket tests fail. Shit happens. And NASA lost all the information from the Saturn Rockets we built in the the 1960s-70s, so obviously we have to work a few bugs out. To me it looked like an O ring failure; because once she started smoking like that...I just knew she was toast. Really, I'm not joking. In fact, right at launch, I knew she was doomed. But, you're the expert Dr. Astromut, and you are a Senior Forum Administrator...so you certainly outrank my lowly position on things of this nature. For fun...here is some FLASH GORDON! I LOVE the Queen soundtrack to the 1980 FLASH GORDON. But what I find so ironic is how similar the rocket ships look to the SpaceX. WOW! Science Fiction is so cool! Life imitates art, or art imitates Life...something like that. Last Edited by ThirstyMarlin! on 12/16/2020 10:53 AM Marlin! |

Musk is building in Germany super factory for battery production, but in reality he is preparing for mass production of fuel cells. It is about Nord Stream 2 and soon 3, 4, 5 and Hydrogen economy. |
