Reminton 870 with a slug is the best universal key for locks.

It has been a while but I could pick masterlocks with a few different sized paper clips. Once got myself into my house picking the deadbolt. Took about 40 minutes. Having tools would be so much easier.

I did a lot of "Entry Tech" work during the real estate boom.....get paid to break in and change locks.....picked when time permitted, but used bypass techniques for quick entry....time is money and safety....

Opening safes is my favorite work tho.....niche field with very good pay....

Yeah and a great skill that will come in handy when things are bad, and you don't want people to know you're around, or entered a site.

Bump key is good, if you have the knowledge behind it, because rake picks do the same imo, you're just trying to drive those pins up as you rake the lock as you apply a turn, in hopes it will catch and unlock.

if you can hear by feeling then it works also. Because you can feel the lock pins move, as well as hear them.

American locks are easy to pick. Ask any Russian. You ever see a Russian lock?

LOL....On job training....I learn not to park in front of job where pissed off people can vandalize my van, No markings on van or wearing uniform, wear body armor, show up to preview target before Sheriff/Constable arrive....

After recon, I usually have the replacement locks disassembled and ready to install once I get the door open.....gotta treat it like a NASCAR pit stop....in and out in 10 mins for a average house with 2 door/4 locks....

I use google street views to get a basic layout of house and door locks.....
