You Should Learn To Pick Locks

Didn't have a key to unlock one of the doors to the backyard. There was a bolt lock up top.

I picked the lock and my wife was confused how I knew to do this. Got a lockpick set a few years ago and practiced. Figured it would come in handy one day.

But can you untangle a slinky or a phone cord?

He covers how each lock works and the tools he uses.

Even my 8yr old has her own set of bump keys and rakes.
Just remember your flares, they can burn through any known lock internals.
Might be bright but you can melt your way into any building or sub floor

Rather starve to death.

More than 4 seconds and you would be hamburger helper.

You never know. Another way is to basically farm bugs and maggots from the dead. You can even bait carrion eaters to the body.

We don't want to think about such possible eventualities but you might want to survive to ensure the survival of someone else.

Its a good channel for locksport....but there is a difference between picking a clean new lock in a well lit safe environment....out in the field, its different.....old corroded locks, in bad weather and sometimes sketchy neighborhoods.....bad lighting and unusual lock mounting locations.....I never picked a lock that was held in a vise in the field....lol....plus the added bonus of the pissed off screaming person being evicted....

no pressure......lol.....

Lock Picking is one of the basic skills covered in the urban survival courses. I made a practice 2x4x12inch board with various door locks on it to practice on.

hold your face for what? That making sure you enter an area unknown is bad? A smashed lock tells others you been there so search and see what is taken or if you are still there.

A lock you can relock allows for less BS.

yes, but you have to take what he shows and learn those skills yourself. Just downloading something doesn't train you.

Locks are filters to keep out the inept and the easily dissuaded.
