New UK virus strain has an "unprecedented" 14 mutations
Almost like it was engineered, hmmmm
The B.1.1.7 lineage carries a larger than usual number of virus genetic changes. The accrual of 14 lineage-specific amino acid replacements prior to its detection is, to date, unprecedented in the global virus genomic data for the COVID-19 pandemic. Most branches in the global phylogenetic tree of SARS-CoV-2 show no more than a few mutations and mutations accumulate at a relatively consistent rate over time. Estimates suggest that circulating SARS-CoV-2 lineages accumulate nucleotide mutations at a rate of about 1-2 mutations per month (Duchene et al. 2020).

they don't know where it came from, my guess would be China
To understand them, it is important to understand that SARS-CoV-2 ( Corona Virus That causes Covid-19) changes all the time – once or twice a month. Most of these mutants die. But some persist as new families, or strains, of the virus with their own branches of a large viral family tree. The first thing about the family this new breed belongs to is that it is unlike anything that has happened before. Those documented thus far only have one or two mutations that distinguish them from their viral ancestors. This one has a set of 14 mutations that exist together in any other family. And at least three of them could explain why the virus now has a fatal feature.

Also to note this is the first paper ive read that has ‘chronic infection of 2-4 months’ and some longer(?) ...

Wonder what happens when this covid21 infects a recently vaccinated

good question, they don't know. this strain was only discovered 10 days ago.

Probably released by China or maybe the EU for Brexit.

That means a vaccination is useless.

Its a mix of human main mutation and minx mutation. Paper says the one main line in that mutation is specific with minx mutation and other main is from human.

Re: New UK virus strain has an "unprecedented" 14 mutations
So from what I understand from this paper is that the ‘chronically’ ill patients of ‘2-4 months’ couldnt fight off the virus. Their immune system acted like not taking the full course of antibiotics. The virus mutated inside a person as they started feeling better, to beter hide from the immune system. Again and again. There were posts early on that this virus was going to do this. Which would explain why people feel better before they feel worse.

Those patients were ‘immunocompromised’ but wish the paper defined. Did they have hiv also, on cancer meds, immunesuppresion meds, or did the virus deplete their tcells (cd147 receptor) (aidslite). Those patients needed convalescence plasma and remdisivor to beat the virus (or knock it down to undetectable levels)

I found chronically ill just as important, since this is the first paper ive read that defines and designates.

Re: New UK virus strain has an "unprecedented" 14 mutations
In all probability, interfering with the natural spread and development of the virus through lock downs, social distancing and mask mandates may have caused a larger problem. Unnatural mutation of the virus. The masks themselves may have actually encouraged unnatural mutations that weren't being detected. That moist warm bacteria laden environment created by those masks may well have created a serious problem that wouldn't have existed otherwise. Specifically more than one type of virus comingling in the mask and then infecting the wearer or perhaps even wildly uncontrolled mutations on corona virus that would otherwise have taken years to decades. Without even realizing it, scientists, doctors and politicians created walking living breathing petri dishes and further, with the lockdowns they created incubators to house those petri dishes. They took the sort of thing that would normally have occurred in a controlled laboratory environment and effectively turned every country in the civilized world into a laboratory all it's own mutating the virus in the wild. Whoops.

What happens if mutations increase exponentially? Like how HIV mutates constantly so that it can never be cured or vaccinated against?

Perma-COVID? lol.

It was found about ten days ago in Kent county, in the southeast of the country. Soon after, the British health authorities publicly reported its existence.

The paper says it was collected on Sep 20. Probably sat in a frig for 2 months.

I wouldnt be surprised if they thought they were corraling the virus like that to get a mutation that was more preferable.
I personally think thats what the vaccine will end up doing at some point.
Just not the current vaccine.

Even before this new mutation, the virus was able to infect cd147 receptors. The vaccine does not protect vs this receptor. So while you dont die in 4-6 weeks vaccinated...you would still get blood clots, brain damage, and tcell apoptosis.

The higher viral load and virulance will speed up mutations faster.
