The UK doesn't export much in the way of food. But we import around 70%. Many of the trucks would be empty imo or non perishable goods. I drive trucks for a living but stick to the UK. We get a lot of EU trucks just working British routes weeks on end as they can undercut UK based haulage companies.

Whats not getting reported on are the UK drives stuck in Europe with food or wanting to get home for Christmas. Maybe they don't want people to panic about supply lines in the UK?

Now they're blaming it on COVID regulations and blackmailing people with the vaccine. There's a guy on YT called News in Pictures that's been live from Dover Port. There's downloads of migrant workers stuck on coaches trying to get home. They've been stuck for 4 days with no help from the authorities, only help from the Sikh communities handing out hot food. More diversion to hinder the problem.
