The main testing site is at Manston Airport, a disused airfield that is the primary holding area for lorries... Only truck drivers, French and EU citizens or residents with an essential reason to travel who can show a negative Covid-19 test result less than 72 hours old will be allowed into France my god, is there an army of police there enforcing this? how can such a few commie crats bully the entire country into starvation and death? completely ridiculous. |

But we import around 70%. Many of the trucks would be empty imo or non perishable goods. I drive trucks for a living but stick to the UK. We get a lot of EU trucks just working British routes weeks on end as they can undercut UK based haulage companies. Whats not getting reported on are the UK drives stuck in Europe with food or wanting to get home for Christmas. Maybe they don't want people to panic about supply lines in the UK? They did announce 4 days ago that no one should be stocking upon groceries. Because that makes sense?
