The "Native Indian tribe" is utterly bogus. Various US foundations namely Tides (Soros) have been supporting a several so-called hereditary chiefs (most of them fraudulent and others who bought their titles with logging contracting wealth) in BC against the wishes of the elected chiefs and councils along the pipeline route, all of whom who have signed lucrative benefit and preferential hiring and contracting agreements with the pipeline company. It's essentially landlocking Alberta oil while US booms as a result. In other words, it doesn't keep any oil in the ground.
