The cattle were found on a rancher's property off Highway 94 near Schriever Air Force Base.

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. — A veterinarian has been called to determine what killed nearly 30 cattle found dead on a rancher’s property in rural El Paso County not far from Schriever Air Force Base.

The animals were found Tuesday morning off Highway 94 near North Curtis Road, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jacqueline Kirby said. There was no outward evidence that they had been injured.

I drove by them yesterday and could not believe what I was seeing.

Their were 31 total.

I have cattle also so I called the brand inspector and he said they bought some bad feed from Kansas that was full of nitrates.

You don't believe me? Call the brand inspector your self and confirm.

I would have taken a picture but I had a pretty heavy load with feed for my animals and it would not have been easy for me to turn around.

Hwy 94 about 5 mil east of Colorado Springs.

Don't worry about defending yourself, Dweeb knows zilch. Nitrate toxicity drops them in their tracks. I would have cried seeing it.
