I look so ugly in pictures I hate it! I don't look anything like that in real life

I don't look anything like that in real life I hate how I look like trash in pictures. This issue has haunted me my while life. I've always felt insecure with how I end up looking in pictures so it has prevented me from taking pictures in some of the most special moments in my life. All my friends have Instagram and Facebook with tons of photos and they look great! Me on the other hand, I just have 1 photo and it took me about 50 shots to get that one right and I'm still dissatisfied with how the photo turned out! Now out of all my friends, you could say Iam the most physically attractive one in real life but no one would think so in the pictures! I've been hit on my whole life and was told this or that person thinks I'm super cute. Some of my friends and family who are average looking in real life end up taking beautiful photos that make them look like models! I don't get it! People love my eyes in real life but in the photos I look like a freaking cyclops!

I always thought I sounded like a small hairy skunkape, but after hearing (and tasting) that last hamburger while listening to a recording of casual craigslist sex, it prevented me from wanting to continue recording my loud, genderfilled voice. Now that I’m 47, and still look great, I’ve been the most unphotogenic person alive. I don’t even try, I ruin group pics and always avoid being in them without trying to appear to be vain. I truly take the ugliest pictures ever! I feel for you, and if I was younger I’d be really mortified by this. At this point I accept it and rarely post or allow photos that I’m in, to be shown. I don't look anything like that in real life Smile with your eyes and mouth, almost exaggerated. Look into the lens. Try posing, look at other people's faces and body posturing. My daughter is trying to teach me. It's not perfect but we got a couple nice shots together. I hate being photographed.

I take horrible photos and have often avoided getting together in social settings where cameras abound but everyone always tells me in real life how pretty I am and that I look nothing like my photos. I look very different in pictures like different person day by day according to how I feel. get in the right mood and you will look beautiful in pictures to your eyes...But if a person has a different feeling about you, they will see something different "reality" is like a deforming mirror

I don't look anything like that in real life Because you are looking to yourself into a mirror your brain will bend/deform the image starting from what you see...a flipped image. pictures in the other hand are not flipped and your brain cannot distort them as efficiently. for instance while drawing from a real subject overtime your brain will modify perception to fit into a golden ratio equilibrium. So a trick to avoid this is to flip upside down the drawing and magically you'll be able to see what's wrong with it.

I don't look anything like that in real life Bad photography. I can do magic with lighting, angles, perspectives, shadows, highlights ... I'm just an amateur photographer but I can take photos better than most pros. Weird thing is, I can take great photos with my right eye, but if I use my left eye to look through the viewfinder, the photo will suck.
