Pence has already gone on record saying he doesn't even have the power to do anything about it. There was a lawsuit in Texas trying to give him this power and he had the Justice Department lawyers represent him in the lawsuit saying the people suing had no standing and that he did not agree with their conclusions and that the Vice President has no such role under the Constitution.
