Last night around 9pm my wife and I were lying in bed with the lights off, we were having a deep conversation about how we felt after what had happened in DC with the protests and the capital and the certification etc. It had been an emotional and spiritually challenging day, to cap off an emotional and spiritually challenging year.

There is one window in the room and it is covered by blackout curtains. Some light spills in at the top of the curtains from the ambient light outside.

As I was speaking I suddenly found myself fall quiet and watching as the pool of light on the ceiling from the top of the curtains began moving around the room. I was mesmerized, I didnt know what I was looking at. It seemed to last 4 or 5 seconds, but neither my wife nor I can be sure exactly how long the light was moving.

Then the light returned to it's normal position (where it always is). Before I could ask my wife if she saw it, she was asking me if I had seen it. We were both very glad that we both saw it because we knew how unusual and inexplicable what we saw was.

It could not have been a flashlight or headlights etc. The angle of the opening at the top of the curtain is fixed, light entering through the window can only appear on the ceiling in the spot it always appears.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It was very eerie.
