Most people could use a hard copy though. Even with photographic memory, it could fade with age or unforseen events/illnesses that cause brian damage. I understand the need to preserve the Holy Word of God intact. Tampering with it is like tampering with the genetic code. But if you're spiritually in phase with the core message of the Bible, memorizing it will not get you an inch closer to Heaven. Even if you loose your memory, it is faith that will keep you on the right path. Many will just be coming to Christ and will have need of the bible more than life long christians. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Acts 2:21 Remember it.
