Impeachment will only work without a real Senate trial and only votes and then only if Republicans switch and vote. McConnell has his 17 votes to convict. He would not have publicly stated Trump was guilty if he did not. The Senate trial is not planned to begin before Trump leaves office, Even if rushed and is a real trial it will not be finished before Trump leaves office. The Senate can not put Trump on trial if he isn't in Office. |
