Wow. I have been looking for this guy who sings (I think). I saw the coolest documentary about this folk singer that was super under the radar in the 60s or 70s. Some said he would be the next Dillon.

Then he never really took off in America they say because of the Mexican name, but he exploded in fame later in New Zealand. His record label never told him he went like triple platinum in New Zealand, and they didn't give him a dime for his record sales. Poor guy ended up working construction into his 60s living in a like a beat up trailer.

However, he was still alive when a group in New Zealand found him in the US and brought him there, and he played a sold out concert to like 80k.

It Was one of the coolest Doc's I've seen in a long time. Just couldn't remember his name or the name of the Doc.
