You won’t lose much meaningful distance, accuracy or speed in most real world scenarios and you’ll gain a realistic ability for follow up shots of necessary. Unless you are hunting on the plains somewhere, most wooded areas are too thick to really get any advantage a crossbow would give you, although a compound bow will require a solid summer of practice first if you are new to it. |

Look into a compound Bow, follow up shots are much faster. And if you are good with it you can compete in tournaments professionally. |

Rofl I would hardly say a crossbow saves you money on hunting considering that the bolts cost close to 10 dollars per one and it is really easy to lose one or have one hit a tree or bone and bend etc... The only reason I would recommend a crossbow is that they are quieter than your average firearm, but you can buy a silencer for a 22 rifle and get some subsonic ammunition and hunt without the people next door knowing about it. |
