The fear of one’s own death by pandemic has them all singularly producing the same wicked fruit - falsely accusing others of attempted murder, watching their neighbours, demanding that all other citizens be banned from going abroad, spying on freedoms that others wish to maintain, etc - often because they think that they’ve followed all the rules religiously so it ‘must be the nonconformists’ who threaten their return to normalcy. And like all cults, even though they've been freely told by leadership that they have no plans to let them ever return to normalcy, they STILL believe that they will.

Here's the funny part. Back in January/early February 2020, if you mentioned this virus as possibly dangerous, you were probably right wing, and were most definitely labeled a conspiracy theorist (knowing full well the people calling you that weren't being gracious). One year later the exact people who only thought the virus was dangerous 3/4 months after we already knew about its existence, became extremely paranoid about it, to a pychotic degree. While those who rang the alarm bells to begin with, became more skeptic of its potential danger as time went by.

The difference between these 2 groups of people is that one only takes its info from "reliable sources", while the other doesn't trust most sources at all.

Not if you have 2 people available. One who would be at home normally whilst you're out and about. It would mean leaving your phone at home for the other person to pick up the messages and respond. But to do that, like your idea, you take multiple photos of your self in different clothes or just head shots in a variety of locations around the property your lockdown in. Now put them on a memory card and plug into the tv. Now when s notification comes through to check in, the home user uses your phone to take a picture of one of the images on the tv. Obviously frame the shot so you cant see the tv. Now when the picture is taken, it's a picture of you but most importantly, the GPS data attached to the file shows you at the location you're supposed to be at.

One potential solution if you wanted to break the rules for some reason.

That is how Russia has been doing quarantine monitoring since this crap started. They even lend you a smartphone in case you don't have one. They call you a couple of times a day and ask for a selfie. I don't see any issues with such enforcing for the two weeks you can actually make someone real sick if you venture outside. It's not a permanent measure by all means. I am certain it has saved at least one life with keeping infectious people at home.
