Just the tax increase alone will equal the value of the house in 120 years. Assuming we keep it up. If we don't it will crumble in ten years. The property tax increase alone would pay for the upkeep. Most of the house still needs remodeling. In five years just the increase in taxes would pay for the kitchen to get remodeled the cupboards are rotten. Windows are all rotten too. - Good point about the schools being closed. We should be getting a refund instead of an increase. |

The explanation is you dont understand how things work? Your local government is probably broke and owes out more in pension then they are taking in. Now with many local business shut down and not paying tax they have even less. the only way for them to make it up is to raise your property tax. Mine went from 1471 to 2741 2 years ago. we get no new services or no services at all for that matter. no road repairs....but tons of snowbirds are geting their 6k a month pensions that were promised to them by unions in the 70s , 80s and 90s....cops firemen teachers and tradesman will never see that shit these days but we gotta pay fuckers who worked for 20 years, more then the average employee makes now for another 45 years till they are 89 years old. |

Have always been a fiscal conservative both personally and politically, so NH was a good fit for me. My house property tax was $3300 a year in 1999. When I left in 2017 the tax bill for the same house was $12,000 a year. My salary did not quadruple in 18 years. Locusts from MA, CT, RI, and other 'blue' states turned NH into a liberal s-hole. This is what will happen to the remaining "good" states. WY, TX, TN, ND, SD, ID, etc. watch out, the locusts are coming to your town next. |

They have ceased almost all sports and bus service...some kids are hybrid. They have tried to hit us three times in a row for school levies and they have all failed, thanks mostly due to a local business man fighting tooth and nail using mostly his own money and attacking the lack of transparency, grossly overpaid teachers and administrators and overspending on all sorts of things. |
