Every body believed there was a folder with their name on it. When the wall came down and the communist fell, the people raided Stasi hq. in reality only about %10 of the population had dossiers. But that fear was enough to silence the other %90. and the neighborhood informers were well known by then. President Reagans "Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall speech" was instrumental in Liberating East Germany from the communists. Who remains free in the world to liberate us?
