The larger the state, the larger the bureaucracy and the more difficult it is to reign in government growth.

Government growth is a cancer that eats the people.

The nation is too big. Needs to break up into constituent parts.

Note that Germany and Italy did not exist until the 19th century. 1871 for Germany. It needed a much larger bureaucracy to run the state and that only led eventually to Hitler. Russia grew tremendously in the 18th and 19th century and that led to the Bolsheviks. Look how big China is.
