Inside Kamala's new home: VP has moved into 14-bedroom Blair House - right across the street from her boss in the White House

Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff are to live at Blair House, across the street from the White House. The home is best known as the 'President's Guest House' - the 14 bedroom home is a fully-staffed compound. Normally, the home is used when foreign guests of the President are in town when invited to the U.S. Blair House is composed of 119 rooms and spread across 60,000 square feet. It became the President's official guest house in 1942 when it was purchased by the U.S. Government. It also serves as a place for the family of a deceased former President to stay before a state funeral. Top left, the home is made up from four connected 19th-century townhouses and features 119 rooms decorated with antiques and fine art. Top right, the Arthur and Janet Ross Garden was created through donations by the couple in the 1980s. It can accommodate 400 guests or serve as a quiet spot for a visitor to relax. Bottom left, the Lincoln Room is filled with period engravings, portraits and letters relating to Abraham Lincoln who was known to have been a frequent visitor at Blair House. Bottom right, The Lee Drawing Room features rare 18th-century Green Chinese hand-painted wallpaper as its backdrop.
